▫️Norway is one of the leaders in supporting Ukraine. A decision has been made to allocate 700 million dollars for the purchase of Patriot air defense systems. This was announced yesterday.
▫️Ukraine hopes that Norway’s example of assistance will be followed by other partners, particularly the Scandinavian countries.
▫️Ukraine is grateful for the delivery of NASAMS; Ukrainian military highly value their quality. These systems significantly help. We need to reach the point where joint production of NASAMS becomes possible in Ukraine as well.
▫️Norway has joined the Perl program, which allows purchasing weapons from the USA. Ukraine’s goal is to fill this program with no less than one billion dollars monthly.
▫️Ukraine thanks Norway for supporting sanctions against russia. They must remain in force as long as russian aggression and occupation of Ukrainian land continue.
▫️The issue of ceasefire and ending the war depends on russia’s political will. The USA can also pressure russia if russia does not take steps toward compromise.
▫️Norway makes one of the main contributions to guaranteeing our energy security. Ukraine appreciates Norway’s help in gas procurement. Last winter, at least one million Ukrainians had heating thanks to this cooperation.
▫️Norway is actively working within the coalition to return Ukrainian children who were abducted by russia.
▫️Norway is one of the participants in the “coalition of the willing.” Ukraine hopes that Norway will practically participate in measures that will guarantee long-term security for our people, our state, and everyone in Europe.
