Over 70 sabotage attacks in the UK since 2022 have been linked to russia, British media report citing European intelligence officials.

After mass expulsions of russian spies from the UK following the 2018 poisoning of Sergei Skripal, russia lost human intelligence assets, so the kremlin shifted to a more flexible model.
▫️ Targets include warehouses, logistics hubs, telecom nodes, and businesses, especially those aiding Ukraine. The aim is economic damage, disruption of supplies, and creating a sense of vulnerability in Europe’s rear areas.
These actions are a form of state terrorism carried out by private operatives. European intelligence warns that russia’s new sabotage tactics are more dangerous: untrained operatives often work near residential areas and warehouses, attempting to assemble improvised explosives without basic safety knowledge, increasing the risk of mass casualties.
