Intensification of the campaign about the so-called “atrocities of the AFU in Donbas”
kremlin media spread a new fake about alleged “atrocities” of Ukrainian soldiers. This time, propagandists invented a story that AFU servicemen supposedly killed a woman and a child in Pokrovsk to steal a car.
The “news” has no evidence: no photos or videos from the scene, no testimony from independent witnesses, no data from Ukrainian or international sources. The only “proof” is the words of a man claiming to be a local, quoted by a russian state agency. The story follows the standard propaganda pattern — a brutal crime description without verified facts.
Such fakes aim to discredit the Ukrainian army and distract from russia’s systematic war crimes in the combat zone. The enemy also seeks to intimidate frontline residents and impose the idea of russian occupation as a “rescue.”
The Center has repeatedly debunked similar claims by russian propagandists about alleged AFU “atrocities” in Donbas, which turned out to be fake.
