The Kremlin lies about Ukraine’s preparation for terrorist attack on EU oil pipeline
The Kremlin is spreading false claims about Ukraine preparing a terrorist attack on the EU oil pipeline, which it could orchestrate itself.
Russian propaganda outlets are falsely reporting that Ukraine is allegedly preparing “provocations on the Druzhba oil pipeline” with the intention of disabling it completely.
Previously, Russian sources have also circulated (https://t.me/TheCenterforCounteringDisinfo/8159) claims about a supposed “Ukrainian trace” in the incident on the Druzhba pipeline in Poland, as well as the alleged possibility of a terrorist attack on sections of the pipeline in Slovakia and Hungary.
The spread of such disinformation may indicate that Russian intelligence services are planning terrorist attacks in Slovakia and Hungary, with the intention of blaming Ukraine. This could be part of the Kremlin’s broader strategy to destabilize Eastern Europe, create division within the EU, and engage in blackmail.
