russians stole a video showing help to a civilian and passed it off as a “kindness” of the russian army
▫️ A touching story from Kostiantynivka is spreading on social media: during aerial reconnaissance, 19-year-old Ukrainian border guard Maksym, call sign “Malyuk,” from the “Phoenix” brigade noticed a message written in the snow asking for bread, left by an elderly woman. Through the drone’s camera, it was visible how she looked up at the sky, hoping for help. The Ukrainian soldier decided not to fly past and helped the civilian.
russian propaganda tried to distort this story, claiming that the help was supposedly given by a russian soldier, changing the video’s authorship and the context of the event.
▫️ This is not an isolated case. Previously, enemy resources have altered the origin of video materials to shift responsibility for the actions of the russian army onto Ukrainian soldiers.
