russia Maintains Its Policy of Kidnapping Ukrainian Children

On the eve of March 8, putin met with the wives and mothers of “participants in the so-called ‘SMO’.” During the event, olha dorokhina, a resident of Crimea and the mother of a russian occupier eliminated in Ukraine, effectively admitted to committing a crime by revealing that her family is caring for a four-year-old girl whom she took from occupied Kherson region.

The kidnapping of this child is just one of many crimes documented in the temporarily occupied territories, forming part of russia’s systematic policy. Two years ago, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for putin and lvova-belova over documented cases of the deportation of Ukrainian children.

By deliberately abducting Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories, russia is committing one of the gravest war crimes—an act aimed at erasing national identity and destroying the future of the Ukrainian people.
