ru-propagandists admit existence of schemes for recruiting foreigners to fight against Ukraine
Sanctioned russian propagandist and author of the channel “rybar” mikhail zvinchuk actually confirmed the existence of a criminal scheme to recruit foreigners for the war against Ukraine, although he tried to remove responsibility from the official structures of the Russian Federation.
Foreigners are promised employment in russia through social networks, offering a “package” with a visa and a ticket. Upon arrival in moscow, their passports are taken away from them under the pretext of “registration”, and later they are informed that there is no work, and the visa has been canceled. Finding themselves without money and documents, citizens of foreign countries are faced with a choice: deportation with large debts or signing a contract with the russian ministry of defense.
russian federation is scaling up operations to recruit foreign citizens to replenish the losses of its army, using cynical schemes of deception, blackmail and coercion. According to the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, to date, 28,391 foreigners from 136 countries of the world have been identified who have signed contracts with the russian armed forces. The plans for 2026 include recruiting another 20,000 foreigners.
The center previously said that recruiting foreign citizens through specialized online platforms and the network of “russian Houses” is part of the kremlin’s state strategy to shift the burden of war onto citizens of third countries.
