Fake about “the AF of Ukraine’s criminal channel for selling weapons”
Russian propaganda has intensified a disinformation campaign alleging the illegal sale of weapons by Ukrainian servicemembers. Pro-Kremlin outlets are spreading a fake story claiming that members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are supposedly selling assault rifles, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and explosives to criminal groups both in Ukraine and abroad.
By spreading such lies, the enemy seeks to create the illusion that Ukraine has descended into chaos because of the war and is a hotspot of instability in Europe, posing a threat to the entire region.
◻️ Russia systematically pushes similar fakes, accusing Ukraine of “selling Western weapons” to criminal organizations. Russian propagandists have circulated fabricated stories about alleged “arms shipments to the Mexican Gulf cartel” or “weapons with GPS trackers smuggled through Moldova to foreign criminal networks.”
The goal of these narratives is to undermine international support for Ukraine and erode partners’ trust in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
