The leadership of the Center for Countering Disinformation met with representatives of the RAND Corporation.
▫️ On October 17, 2024, Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation and an officer of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, alongside Anayit Khoperiya, Deputy Head of the Center, met with and gave an interview to representatives of the RAND Corporation.
▫️ The interviews were part of a new study funded by the Office of the Secretary of Defense and mandated by Congress. The study aims to analyze the information war waged by russia against Ukraine and assess the counter-disinformation operations conducted by the United States, NATO, and Ukraine.
▫️ During the interview, the Center’s main areas of focus were discussed, especially its work in monitoring and countering russian disinformation. A. Kovalenko outlined key aspects of russian information campaigns, their effectiveness, and methods of countering disinformation. A. Khoperiya highlighted the significance of international cooperation and the exchange of expertise between partner countries in the fight against disinformation.
