The media of the temporarily occupied territories spread messages aimed at justifying the activities of the occupation administrations

Recently, several publications in the TOT (temporarily occupied territories) have spread a statement by US public figure and musician Chris Jackson Royce. The main messages were to justify the activities of the occupation administrations in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as to discredit Ukraine’s activities in the international arena and its policy towards the so-called DPR and LPR.

The discrediting trend arose in connection with a statement signed recently by deputies from the Communist Party of the russian federation. On behalf of the russian parliament, they appeal to president putin to recognize the armed groups of the LDPR, namely, the territories they control, as independent states. The motivation for this recognition is the same as that previously stated by Taisayev: Ukraine’s alleged failure to fulfill the Minsk agreements and the “genocide” of the Donbas population.

The text once again emphasizes that Ukraine “does not respect the language rights of the population” and praises Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych as historical heroes.

It also mentions the so-called referendum held by the russian-controlled administrations of Donetsk and Luhansk in May 2014, where the population of Donbas allegedly voted in favor of secession from Ukraine.

Also, some TOT publications spread the news that in Prague (Czech Republic), in front of the building of the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic, a rally was held against the supply of Czech weapons and ammunition to Ukraine and the war in Donbas. The action was organized by the “Czech world movement” and other left-wing movements of the Czech Republic.

A statement by Finnish political scientist, associate professor at the University of Helsinki Johan Beckman is also being circulated. The main theses of this publication are the justification of the activities of the occupation administrations in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, discrediting Ukraine’s policy towards the so-called DPR and LPR, and Ukraine’s systematic refusal to implement the Minsk agreements.

The analyzed materials are aimed at forming a stable opinion of the residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as the population of the russian federation included in the information space of the TOT, on the unification of certain foreign public figures on the issue of international recognition of the so-called DPR and LPR.

There is also a tendency to intensify the activities of European pro-russian political forces and left-wing movements, which create information for the russian media, as well as media resources under their control and loyal to them.

At the same time, such materials are aimed at justifying the activities of the occupation administrations in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Such publications are also aimed at discrediting Ukraine’s activities in the international arena, as well as its policy towards the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
