How putin became a victim of AI slop and embarrassed himself in front of teachers
A new statement by russian dictator vladimir putin has once again sparked widespread discussion — not because of its political significance, but because of its sheer absurdity.
▫️ During a meeting with teachers, putin urged them to tell children how pods of killer whales tear polar bears apart. He suggested using this “food chain” to explain to schoolchildren “what kind of world we live in and why the ‘special military operation’ is being conducted.”
▫️ A number of media outlets immediately debunked this claim: there is no documented case of such hunting in the wild. The only source from which the kremlin leader could have taken this idea is AI slop — fake videos of animals fighting, generated by artificial intelligence for clicks.
▫️ This episode perfectly exposes the dishonesty of russia’s state apparatus. For years, officials have justified censorship, blocking media outlets and social networks, and restricting internet access as a supposed “fight against disinformation and fake news.” Yet the fact that the head of state himself consumes information garbage from the internet and presents it as official ideology shows that this “fight” has clearly gone in the wrong direction.
The real purpose of restrictions and total internet control in russia is solely to build an isolated information space. In this way, the state seeks to control the minds of its citizens by feeding them kremlin-approved myths — from imperial history to “killer whales.”
