War and Sanctions Are Wiping Out the Once-All-Powerful “gazprom”

russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom is now forced to manufacture refrigerators and washing machines to survive, using production facilities “seized” from the German conglomerate Bosch.

▫️Due to the full-scale war against Ukraine and Western sanctions, Gazprom has lost the majority of its European consumers. The gas monopoly has failed to compensate for these losses on the Chinese market and has suffered record losses over the past two years. Once a powerful geopolitical tool used by the kremlin to pressure the EU, the company is now struggling to stay afloat.

However, this initiative has been met with skepticism in russia. Experts believe that Gazprom’s new products will not attract much demand without the Bosch brand name.

The situation with Gazprom is a vivid example of how ru-propaganda continues to drift further from reality. While russians are fed tales about the “benefits of sanctions” and alleged economic success, the country’s largest state-owned corporations are on the brink of survival.
