“IT in Three Days”: How russians Are Being Lied to About the Reintegration of War Veterans
The pro-government party in russia has reported on the results of a so-called “miracle program,” allegedly capable of turning a veteran of the war against Ukraine into an IT specialist in just 72 hours. According to the announcement, nearly 2,500 people have already completed the training and been “successfully employed.”
▫️ Soldiers were offered a three-day crash course to master professions such as graphic designer, Excel analyst, and others. For a beginner, learning any of the listed specializations requires months or even years of study. Therefore, a three-day course clearly cannot provide real qualifications for work in IT projects. The questionable quality of the courses is further evidenced by the fact that one of the universities involved in the project is the Donbas State Technical University in occupied Alchevsk.
With such propagandist claims, russian politicians are trying to showcase supposed “success” in reintegrating war veterans. But absurd reports like these once again prove that the kremlin’s performative “care” for war participants is nothing but fiction.
