In the russian federation, over three years, the demand for digital skills in vacancies has decreased by one and a half times. If in 2022, there were 2.6 million vacancies with the requirement of mandatory computer proficiency, then by the end of 2024, there will be 1.7 million such vacancies.
Due to the labour shortage in Russia caused by the war, employers are becoming less demanding. Moreover, this trend indicates new economic demands in the Russian Federation labour market.
This picture is complemented by the recent statements of the russian dictator volodymyr putin regarding the increased demand for secondary specialised education. The russian federation authorities wanted to create a controlled population with limited abilities and ambitions, which would serve the war without question – either as “cannon fodder” or as workers in the military-industrial complex.
