Schools in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region will tighten control over propaganda
Starting from September 1, 2025, educational institutions in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region plan to introduce a new position — “child upbringing advisor” to school principals.
▫️It is officially claimed that these “advisors” will serve as “mentors and assistants for students.” In reality, they will monitor teachers’ speech during lessons, promote propaganda, and report to the occupation administrations — all part of russia’s systematic policy of control and militarization of the local population.
russian occupiers are committing cultural genocide in the TOT: they systematically indoctrinate children, attempt to strip youth of national identity, instill hatred toward Ukraine, encourage patriotic loyalty to the aggressor state, promote support for the occupation regime, and prepare children for future service in the occupying forces.
▫️Therefore, it is crucial to increase international pressure on the russian authorities by imposing additional sanctions on organizations and individuals involved in the militarization of children in the TOT and to develop global monitoring mechanisms for such violations to ensure that no crime goes unpunished.
