ru-propaganda spreads another lie about “Ukrainian chemical weapons”
The Center records yet another surge in ru-propaganda pushing fakes about supposed use of chemical weapons by Ukrainian forces.
▫️In particular, hostile channels are spreading claims that a “secret cache of chemical substances” was allegedly found near Pokrovsk. They circulate a video that is meant to “prove” these accusations.
The use of such “video evidence” is a typical russian propaganda tactic. In reality, the video contains no proof whatsoever. It does not allow identification of the location or time of filming, nor the contents or origin of the test tubes presented as “Ukrainian chemical agents.” This is yet another piece of enemy disinformation with no connection to reality.
russia has spread similar fakes many times before. Meanwhile, it is the russian army that has repeatedly used prohibited chemical agents in the war against Ukraine — cases that have been documented and have led to international sanctions against russia.
