Occupants raise tariffs for the TOT of Ukraine again
In the Luhansk region, the occupation administration has raised bus fares. The enemy claims this is due to “improved service quality” and a shortage of drivers — currently lacking 50–70% of the required workforce. While propaganda labels the hike as “minor,” in reality, fares have increased by 60% since the beginning of the year.
▫️Raising the cost of basic services is a common tactic used by russia in the occupied territories of Ukraine. Previously, transportation fares were also raised in seized cities of the Zaporizhzhia region. In Donetsk, water supply tariffs have surged by nearly one-third (link) — despite water being almost entirely unavailable.
russian propaganda promised residents of the temporarily occupied territories a life in a “modern, advanced, and wealthy country.” Instead, russia has brought degradation in all spheres of life: destroyed infrastructure, rising costs, and basic services like water that simply don’t exist.
