New AI video campaign: manipulation of the Christmas theme
The Center is recording a new russian information campaign using AI-generated content aimed at artificially stoking social tension around religious issues.
▫️ AI-generated videos featuring “Ukrainian servicemen” are being spread on TikTok, in which they claim they are “celebrating Christmas the old way” — on January 7. The content is presented as personal addresses or frontline videos, designed to create the illusion of a “sincere stance” by service members.
The goal of this campaign is to form a false perception that the transition to the Revised Julian calendar is not supported by Ukrainian society, is seen as “imposed by the state,” and “contrary to traditions.”
The enemy is deliberately exploiting religious themes as a tool of destabilization in wartime.
