Internal information manipulation: YouTube project “Ispanskiy Styd”

The main host of the YouTube project “Ispanskiy Styd” (Spanish Shame) is Svitlana Shevchuk (Umіnska), known under the pseudonym Lana Shevchuk. She previously worked for the Ukrainian sanctioned TV channels “NewsOne” and “NASH”, which were linked to yevhen murayev, a suspect in high treason, and also hosted the YouTube project “Lana tut!”

The “Ispanskiy Styd” channel is newly created and is currently building its audience. The format of the channel consists of livestreams featuring guest speakers, most of whom previously appeared regularly on the sanctioned TV networks affiliated with yevhen murayev and viktor medvedchuk.

Despite its declared analytical format, a significant portion of the channel’s content contains narratives that may echo russian propaganda. While criticizing the situation in Ukraine, the channel’s hosts use vague wording and subjective assessments of the Ukrainian government — a tactic that can be exploited in the information war against Ukraine.

A reminder: the Center previously reported on other YouTube projects such as “VYSHKA”, “LANA TUT!,” “Aleksandr SHELEST,” and others that emerged following the blocking of sanctioned TV channels.
