How the “dnr” budget exposes the fake economy of the TOT of Donetsk region
The budget of the russian quasi-state entity “dnr” turned out to be two-thirds subsidized — it is based not on revenues from its own economy, but on “non-repayable transfers” from the russian federation’s budget. The revenues of the occupied Donetsk region amount to 233.6 billion rubles (approximately $2.7 billion), with only one-third — 79 billion rubles (over $900 million) — coming from taxes.
▫️The occupied Donetsk region effectively has no independent economy, and all statements about economic achievements are fake. Notably, more than 2 billion rubles (over $23 million) have been allocated for the maintenance of the administration of “dnr” leader denis pushilin. Meanwhile, no funds were allocated for capital repairs of the water supply systems in occupied Donetsk region, which suffer from constant breakdowns.
At the same time, the gauleiters continue to talk about the prospects of restoring the Donetsk airport or large industrial enterprises — while fully understanding that this will never happen. In doing so, the occupiers try to deceive the population and beg for another tranche from moscow.
