russia exploits TikTok trend for anti-Ukrainian influence in Poland

The Center has identified another attempt by russia to influence public opinion in Poland through popular social media formats. russian actors are seeking to embed their own narratives into a new anti-Ukrainian trend in the Polish segment of TikTok.

▫️ As part of the trend, far-right-themed accounts are actively sharing videos featuring a radical rap song containing calls for violence against Ukrainians. Attempts have also been detected to exploit this format for promoting pro-russian narratives.

▫️ In particular, a network of anonymous accounts that publish exclusively anti-Ukrainian content is attempting to convince Polish audiences of the need for “friendship” between Poland and russia while promoting the false claim that Ukraine is a “common enemy” of Warsaw and moscow.

This is yet another example of russia’s interference in Poland’s information space and its active efforts to fuel anti-Ukrainian sentiment. The kremlin’s primary objective is to destabilize Polish society and undermine public support for Ukraine.
