russia continues to lie about the alleged “atrocities” of AFU
russia’s propaganda is spreading new statements by foreign ministry spokesperson maria zakharova about alleged “war crimes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.” She refers to a report by the so-called “international public tribunal” created by the kremlin to discredit Ukraine.
▫️ The report falsely claims “numerous cases of targeted terror” allegedly carried out by Ukrainian defenders in Donbas. However, as usual, the report offers no evidence of the “crimes of Ukrainian neo-nazis.”
Even zakharova herself is forced to admit that no international human rights organization recognizes any “atrocities by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.” This is why russia created its own “tribunal” to fabricate such “evidence.”
Spreading fake reports about “war crimes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces” is part of the kremlin’s large-scale campaign to discredit ukraine’s defenders. russia uses this to justify its aggressive war against Ukraine and to divert the international community’s attention from its own numerous war crimes. Additionally, such fabricated “reports” may be used for show trials of Ukrainian prisoners of war and to justify their torture and abuse.
