Main theses of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s speech at the International Summit of Cities and Regions
The main theses of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky from the address at the IV International Summit of Cities and Regions:
▫️ russian madness has not abated. The kremlin is again threatening strikes, rejecting real diplomacy.
▫️ russia is trying to draw belarus more into the war and is openly intimidating Moldova, Poland, Finland and the Baltic countries.
▫️ Against the backdrop of russian threats and intimidation, Svitlana Tikhanovskaya took part in the Summit for the first time as a representative of Belarus.
▫️ The mayor of Budapest is present at the summit. Ukraine seeks to normalize relations between Ukraine and Hungary. This is important for the entire European region.
▫️ Strengthening air defense for Ukraine remains the number one priority, which must be continuously communicated to all global political leaders to protect our cities and villages from terrorist attacks.
▫️ In June, the Ukraine Reconstruction Conference (URC) will be held in Gdansk. The meetings should yield real results for reconstruction and attracting European business to cooperation with Ukraine.
▫️ Regions of Ukraine and European partners are developing the Carpathian Integration Initiative and preparing an international forum of the Carpathian macroregion to strengthen cross-border cooperation.
▫️ Evil must not win. Ukraine calls on partners to remain active, develop joint projects and engage in reconstruction, because unity and mutual assistance are the main defense of the free world.
