How ru-propaganda promotes its narratives inside the EU
Russian propaganda is actively spreading the claim to European audiences that more than 360,000 signatures have allegedly been collected in Slovakia to initiate referendum on lifting sanctions against Russia.
However, no evidence of the actual collection of signatures or the legality of this procedure has been provided.
▪️ Similar messages are being published by Pravda Slovakia, a platform created just a month ago and linked to the larger Pravda network—an entity established by Russia to disseminate propaganda within the EU, as exposed by the Center for Countering Disinformation. Additionally, similar posts are being shared in the English-language segment of the social network X and within the Russian information space.
By promoting such narratives, Russian propagandists aim to manipulate public opinion within the EU, create the illusion of support for Russian policies in Europe, sow division, and undermine support for Ukraine.
