How Moscow uses occupied ZNPP for nuclear blackmail
The Kremlin continues to spread manipulative claims accusing Ukraine of “provoking a man-made disaster” at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).
▫️ The Russian Ministry of Defense has once again alleged an attack by Ukrainian drones on the nuclear facility.
These statements are an attempt by the Kremlin to shift responsibility for the security risks caused by Russia’s military occupation of the ZNPP onto Ukraine. Such accusations are also part of Russia’s strategy of nuclear blackmail and intimidation through the threat of a man-made disaster.
The only real source of nuclear threat in Ukraine is the presence of Russian occupation forces.
