How Kremlin uses European resources
Among the French outlets spreading narratives aligned with Russian propaganda, the media group Égalité et Réconciliation (Equality and Reconciliation) stands out.
▫️ The publication quotes Russian political figures, experts, and propagandists while disregarding alternative perspectives. It features interviews with Russian ideologues, including Aleksandr Dugin, and reprints content from the Russian propaganda outlet Sputnik.
Égalité et Réconciliation was founded by Alain Soral, who has been fined multiple times and sentenced to both suspended and actual prison terms for inciting hatred and denying the Holocaust. His Facebook and YouTube pages were taken down. Soral has also visited Russia and openly supported Putin.
