The center participated in the conference “Information War: From Resistance to Resilience”

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, on August 29, 2025, participated in the conference “Information War: From Resistance to Resilience,” organized by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Institute of National Resilience and Security.

▫️A. Kovalenko spoke about the full-scale cognitive war that russia is waging against the collective West, and the tactics the aggressor uses. He noted that after the end of russia’s war against Ukraine, the confrontation will continue – cognitive warfare, cyberwarfare, and sabotage activities by russians will persist.

▫️The head of the Center noted that besides Ukraine, no Western country understands the thinking of Russians and their internal problems as deeply, nor possesses the necessary tools to counter cognitive warfare.

A. Kovalenko emphasized the importance of focusing on conducting joint offensive cognitive operations with the West against the enemy. “The collective West must enter into full-fledged informational confrontation because it is in the interest of the future of democratic countries; the transition from defense to offense is a necessity not only for Ukraine,” he stressed.
