The Center for Countering Disinformation took part in a scientific and practical seminar on countering collaboration activities held at the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine. The forum was organized by the SSU National Academy, the Institute of Information, Security and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the Scientific Research Institute for the Study of Crime Problems named after academician V. Stashys.
Deputy Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the NSDC Anayit Khoperiya noted that the Center actively cooperates with the SBU to counter russian disinformation and propaganda and informed about the tools used by the Center to prevent information hostile influence.
Summarizing the results of the seminar, Volodymyr Pylypchuk, academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, emphasized the main proposals of the participants, including amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, development of a new law on collaborationism, creation of a register of collaborators, improvement of the strategic communications system, active use of technical means to limit the occupiers’ ability to influence the population, etc.
