russia launches new AI-fake about «women’s mobilisation»
russian propaganda has launched a new fake as part of a disinformation campaign about the «mobilisation of women in Ukraine».
Photos allegedly showing the streets of Lutsk, where billboards calling on housewives to become drone operators have been placed, are being spread on social media. Propagandists claim that in Ukraine, operating UAVs is being compared to using an iron or a vacuum cleaner.
In reality, these images are fake and were created using artificial intelligence, as confirmed by analysing the photo through specialised content verification services. No such posters have been installed on the streets of Lutsk or other Ukrainian cities.
The enemy’s goal is to discredit Ukraine’s recruitment system and demoralise society with yet another manipulation around the topic of «women’s mobilisation».
This is not the first time the enemy has used AI technologies to discredit Ukrainian women. Earlier, russians spread a similar fake featuring AI-generated photos of posters allegedly from women’s health clinics calling on women to choose military service over motherhood.
