The degradation of the housing and utilities sector in the TOT of the Donetsk region continues to worsen
▫️ The occupation authorities have announced that the so-called «dnr» will «reduce its water supply» for five days. This comes despite the fact that, for the past several years, water has been supplied in Donetsk and most other occupied cities in the region only according to a schedule, once every few days.
✅ The reason given for the latest «reduction in water supply» is the need to repair water distribution networks, which have remained in a permanent «state of disrepair» throughout the period of russian occupation. Any attempts to repair the infrastructure amount to nothing more than temporary patchwork.
❗️ While russian propaganda continues to promote images of Donetsk’s alleged «prosperity» under russian rule, the reality is that the occupied cities are becoming increasingly neglected and economically depressed, primarily as a result of the occupation authorities’ policies. They are neither capable of nor interested in resolving the problems with water supply and other municipal services.
