russia is recruiting foreign media professionals through “russian houses.”

A training program for foreign journalists, media professionals, and international relations specialists will be held in moscow at the end of July. The program, called “New Generation,” is organized by the sanctioned propaganda channel RT, and applications for participation are submitted through “russian houses.”

Officially, the project is presented as an opportunity to learn about “russian experience in the media and methods of verifying information.” In reality, the kremlin’s main goal is to create a vast international network of influence in the information sphere and to involve foreign authors in promoting russian state narratives in their countries.

The kremlin continues to use cultural and educational events as a smokescreen for information expansion, attempting to legitimize its propaganda resources and circumvent international isolation.

The Center previously reported that the russian authorities systematically use foreign branches of “rossotrudnichestvo” to create a network of loyal media professionals abroad.
