russia lies to foreign media about “humane” strikes on Ukraine
russian foreign minister sergey lavrov made another cynical statement. He assured foreign journalists that russia allegedly “does not want to cause excessive damage” to Ukraine’s territory and “does not use all available means.”
▫️ Such statements are aimed exclusively at misleading foreign audiences and creating a false image of a “merciful” russia.
▫️ In reality, Lavrov’s words are blatant lies marked by extreme cynicism. Ukrainian cities such as Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Pokrovsk, Vuhledar, Toretsk, Vovchansk, and dozens of others have been virtually erased by russian forces, turned into ruins.
▫️ The few residents who still remain in these destroyed settlements have witnessed firsthand the so-called “humanity” of the occupiers and know exactly what the “russian world” truly brings.
lavrov’s statements fit into the aggressor’s traditional propaganda strategy. By attempting to portray a war of aggression and the destruction of civilian infrastructure as “measured actions,” the kremlin seeks to evade responsibility for its war crimes against Ukraine.
