The Enemy Has Intensified Information Operations Using AI-Generated Videos
The Center has identified a new wave of information attacks on TikTok involving AI-generated content aimed at undermining the resilience of the Ukrainian army and the country’s overall defense capability.
▫️ Propagandists are spreading videos featuring AI-generated “soldiers” allegedly stationed at various sections of the front line. In these clips, the characters claim there is a “collapse of defenses,” “russian troops breaking through the flanks,” “chaos within units,” “indifference of commanders,” and similar narratives.
▫️ These videos are presented as “personal confessions from the front,” but in reality they are products of generative AI. This allows the enemy to rapidly produce a mass stream of fake testimonies, creating the illusion of a systemic catastrophe on the battlefield.
The key objective of this campaign is psychological pressure on service members, erosion of trust within units, and the spread of a sense of hopelessness. At the same time, it is intended to influence civilians by sowing doubts about the effectiveness of Ukraine’s defenses and the purpose of military service.
