russia’s FIS spreads new falsehood to justify continuing the war
russia’s foreign intelligence service has launched another propaganda stunt aimed at shifting responsibility for prolonging its war against Ukraine onto the United Kingdom.
▫️Pro-kremlin outlets are actively amplifying an FIS statement claiming that the UK is allegedly interested in continuing the war because it “saves its economy from bankruptcy.” According to the russia’s FIS, British intelligence is supposedly preparing “compromising material” against U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing him of ties to soviet and russian intelligence services.
The foreign intelligence service, headed by long-time putin associate sergey naryshkin, has repeatedly spread false accusations against the UK in the past — including claims that Britain and Ukraine were preparing terrorist attacks in Europe. Most of these “special information operations” have ended in complete failure.
The real goal of promoting such fantasies is to shift responsibility for prolonging the war onto the UK, even though the only obstacle to peace today is the kremlin’s own position.
