The Center records an increase in russia’s disinformation campaign aimed at discrediting Ukraine’s Defense Forces and spreading false accusations of crimes against civilians in Donbas.

In these reports, Ukrainian forces are accused of deliberately striking residential buildings in Donbas and shooting civilians trying to flee combat zones toward russian-controlled territory.
▫️Additionally, propaganda outlets are spreading fakes claiming that Ukraine is sending severely ill conscripts — including those diagnosed with cerebral palsy — into battle in Donbas.
The goal of such fabrications is to discredit Ukraine’s Defense Forces, provoke conflict between civilians and the military, and divert attention from russia’s own mass crimes against civilians in Donbas.
