AI Fake About “Flooded Ukrainian Trenches in Kharkiv Region”
Pro-russian sources are spreading a new fake AI-generated video, allegedly filmed at Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk, showing the “difficult situation” of Ukrainian soldiers on the front line.
▫️ The footage shows a man in military uniform walking through a flooded trench where supposed “Ukrainian soldiers” are sitting. The creators claim they “fell into their own trap” after the destruction of the belgorod reservoir dam.
Verification proved the video was generated using artificial intelligence — distorted facial expressions, unrealistic shadows, and artificial water animation reveal the use of generative tools.
The purpose of this fake is to undermine trust in the decisions of Ukraine’s military command and sow doubts about the effectiveness of the Armed Forces. Such content is produced by the enemy to create an illusion of chaos at the front and demoralize society.
Earlier, the Center also recorded another wave of AI-based disinformation videos — about the alleged “mass surrender of Ukrainian soldiers near Pokrovsk.”
