The Center records a large-scale propaganda campaign in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine for the anniversary of the so-called “reunification of historical regions with russia.”
▫️Propaganda outlets actively spread statements of the puppet leaders of the occupied territories, claiming that under moscow’s rule the “new regions” allegedly “received a powerful boost of development,” and that people’s lives are supposedly “constantly improving.”
▫️The occupiers pay great attention to propaganda among children. Numerous events for “reunification day” are held in schools and kindergartens, where children are indoctrinated with the idea that they are Russians and will “forever be with russia.”
The goal of this campaign is to create an illusion of prosperity under occupation, even though the real situation is far from the propaganda slogans.
In reality, thousands of civilians have been killed or left homeless due to the russian occupation. Some settlements are almost completely destroyed, and in occupied Donetsk region, people have almost no access to water. The atmosphere of fear and humiliation, which has persisted for four years in the occupied territories, is being masked by russian propaganda tales of “happiness and prosperity.”
