ru-propaganda continues to generate new fakes to create the illusion that Ukrainian military personnel are systematically committing domestic crimes. In particular, enemy sources claim that Ukrainian soldiers allegedly killed a woman in the Kharkiv region and set her house on fire to cover up the crime.
This information is false. Propagandists took a real news story from a Ukrainian website about a fire and the death of a woman but added fabricated details about the alleged involvement of Ukrainian soldiers. To make the fake more convincing, they used a falsified screenshot of a Ukrainian news article. However, the original publication contains no such details. Similar false reports may appear multiple times throughout the day.
▫️ The spread of such fakes is part of russia’s information operation aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the eyes of the population. The enemy seeks to provoke division in Ukrainian society along the “civilian-military” line.
