Kremlin’s information saboteurs in the West: Elizaveta Gerson
Elizaveta Gerson is a Russian propagandist and correspondent for NTV in London.
The propagandist began her work in the UK almost 10 years ago. If we draw conclusions about life in Britain from Gerson’s reports, viewers will not get the most pleasant picture: crime, overcrowded prisons, poverty, medieval diseases, punitive psychiatry, high taxes, migrant dominance, protests, scandals… At the same time, the propagandist is indignant that Europeans are “frightened by Russia, despite their internal problems.” This is a typical style for Russian propagandists in Western countries—to cover only those topics that help create a negative image of the country.
The propagandist also produces stories related to Ukraine. In particular, she promotes the Kremlin’s threats of “consequences” following strikes with Western long-range on Russian territory and attempts to convince her audience that Europe is incapable of helping Ukraine resist Russian aggression.
Gerson also actively covers various propaganda events organized by Russian diplomats in the UK.
In 2018, after the stories about the poisoning of former Russian intelligence officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter—apparently orchestrated to promote the Kremlin’s interests—the propagandist complained about receiving a letter containing threats.
