The CCD and Mariupol State University signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

The CCD and Mariupol State University discussed current challenges in the field of information security, future joint projects, and emphasized that critical thinking and improving media literacy among the population, including young people, are now elements of national stability and security.

Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the CCD and an officer of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, stressed the importance of young people mastering the skills of information verification and analyzing messages disseminated by unverified groups in messengers and anonymous Telegram channels to prevent the spread of manipulations and fakes.

“The more we can involve young people in our work, the stronger we will become,” said Kovalenko.

In turn, the Rector of Mariupol State University, Mykola Trofymenko, noted that there is a lot of work and many interesting initiatives ahead, emphasizing that joining efforts to counter disinformation will be a significant contribution to the security of the country.
