Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation NSDC, gave an interview to France 5 television channel for the program “C dans l’air”. The program, which is one of the leading ones on France 5, has been analyzing political, social, economic and international news for 22 years and is one of the most popular podcasts with several million views on YouTube.
Andriy Kovalenko spoke in detail about the functions and role of the CCD in the russian-Ukrainian information war and about the Center’s tasks in countering current and projected threats to national security and national interests of Ukraine in the information sphere, and ensuring information security. He emphasized the ways and methods of spreading disinformation used by the russian side and the tools used by the CCD to identify, inform and respond to information threats.
The head of the Center also emphasized that the russian disinformation campaign is aimed not only at the domestic audience but is also active abroad, in particular in France and highlighted the importance of cooperation with international partners in countering russian disinformation.
