▫️ According to Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation and an officer of Ukrainian the Defense Forces, this disinformation is aimed at influencing the Middle East, the Global South, and the American information space.
“In this way, the russians aim to portray Ukraine as a ‘terrorist state.’ This has become a key information threat at the international level,” he explained.
In reality, russia is the main terrorist state. Andriy Kovalenko stressed that it is russia that backs militants in Syria who have used chemical weapons. Moscow also maintains ties with groups like the Taliban, Hezbollah, Hamas, and ISIS.
