▫️Despite claims by the leadership of the United Aircraft Corporation of russia about their intentions to “be competitive with Boeing and Airbus in five years,” in reality, the corporation developing the highly publicized “import-substituted” Superjet, MC-21, and other aircraft is cutting 1,500 employees.
At the same time, all plans to release aircraft in russia are failing. Of the 40 passenger aircraft the russian government planned to produce in 2024, only three have been made.
▫️The serial production of Superjet and MC-21 aircraft without using imported parts continues to be postponed because, under sanctions, the russian aviation industry is unable to ensure the safety of its aircraft, as confirmed by numerous incidents.
No matter what propagandists claim, aircraft manufacturing is a high-tech industry, and the destructive consequences of sanctions and russia’s technological backwardness are clearly visible in this sector.
