How russia Plans to Train Personnel to Promote War Propaganda Among Children
The kremlin continues to revive totalitarian soviet-era practices aimed at militarizing children and youth in russia.
▫️The russian authorities plan to open a so-called “Digoriya” “Political education workshop,” which will effectively function as a reincarnation of the Higher komsomol school under the central committee of the soviet youth organization (VLKSM). Its primary mission will be the “ideological training” of personnel fully controlled by the kremlin tasked with spreading propaganda among children and young people.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the russian regime has been systematically building a propaganda network aimed at reaching all russian children from preschoolers to university students actively drawing on soviet experience.
▫️One key initiative is the kremlin’s development of the “Movement of the first” — a deeply militarized child organisation modeled after the soviet “pioneers.” It indoctrinates children to prepare them for wars serving the kremlin’s interests.This propaganda work will be carried out by young organizers who “have undergone ideological training” at the “Digoriya” center.
