Why Putin’s bikers arranged a meeting with children in Mariupol

Bikers of the “night wolves” motorcycle club, known for their chauvinistic ideology and support of russian dictator vladimir putin, visited the occupied cities of Ukraine – Melitopol, Mariupol, Donetsk, and others – as part of a large-scale propaganda motorcycle rally for victory day. Specifically, in Mariupol, putin’s propagandists held a meeting with children at the local children’s and youth creativity center.

▫️ There, the bikers, in line with official kremlin propaganda, told the children about their participation in the war and the so-called “russian spring.” The “night wolves” themselves emphasize the importance of ideological manipulation and the “correct” upbringing of the younger generation.

Such events are part of russia’s policy of militarizing children in temporarily occupied territories, which is systematically implemented. Through propaganda actions, such as meetings with bikers who openly support aggression, children are indoctrinated with the cult of war, a distorted view of historical events, and hostility towards everything Ukrainian.

Earlier, the Center presented an analytical report on “Militarization of Ukrainian Children in Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine,” prepared in collaboration with the national initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Bring Kids Back UA.
