Water crisis is deepening in occupied Yenakijeve
Local residents are recording video appeals to the occupation administration and kremlin authorities, declaring an “environmental catastrophe.”
▫️In some parts of the city, there has been no running water for over a month. Water is being delivered by tank trucks, but even that happens irregularly. Meanwhile, the occupation administration, offering no effective solution, essentially admits its own failure.
Water supply issues have become typical for most cities in Donbas since the beginning of the russian occupation. Reservoirs are drying up, and water in residents’ taps appears less and less frequently. Instead of addressing the problem, the local population is being fed propaganda about the so-called “prosperity of Donbas” under russian control and the “rescue and liberation of locals by the russian army.”
All of this is yet more evidence that kremlin doesn’t care about the fate of residents in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The only thing that truly matters to the occupiers is gaining geopolitical advantages and exploiting the resources of the seized lands.
