Russian Troops Use Animals for Mines and Blame Ukrainian Forces for Their Own Crimes
russian propaganda is spreading fake news that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are allegedly placing mines inside the bodies of dead animals in the Kharkiv direction. They claim that explosives, motion sensors, or magnetic mines are placed inside cats and hares to set traps for russian soldiers.
Such statements are nothing more than information manipulation aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In reality, it is the russian military that has repeatedly used animal carcasses to mine territories. Earlier, Ukrainian defenders recorded cases when russians mined forest belts, fields, and abandoned positions using the bodies of wild animals, in particular gray hares, which were dropped from drones.
This is yet another attempt by kremlin propaganda to shift responsibility for its own war crimes and divert attention from the terror that russia is spreading in the combat zone and temporarily occupied territories.
The Center has repeatedly exposed similar russian fakes. For example, about the alleged Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers who mined household and children’s items, leaving the kursk region.
