ru-propaganda is disseminating claims by the occupiers that the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, are allegedly “hiding among civilians,” wearing civilian clothes over their uniforms, and occupying upper floors of residential buildings.
Fakes about “soldiers in civilian clothing” are a typical tactic of the aggressor aimed at justifying strikes on residential areas and civilian infrastructure. By attempting to legitimize the killing of civilians, propaganda preemptively tries to portray every victim as a “disguised soldier.”
Around 2,500 residents remain in Kostiantynivka, suffering daily from russian terror. Recently, the city has been subjected to a series of brutal attacks, including continuous MLRS shelling and guided aerial bomb strikes.
