“lesnaya skazka,” like “Red Carnation” in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia, is not a vacation but a weapon of war. kremlin has turned so-called children’s camps into tools of assimilation: Ukrainian children are taught the “correct” version of history, indoctrinated with the “russian world,” trained to be loyal to putin’s regime, fed propaganda about war and hatred, and prepared as a resource for future conflicts.
▫️Torn from their families, culture, and language, these children fall under the full control of the occupying state. This strategy, which violates international humanitarian law, is part of russia’s genocidal policy against Ukraine.
