“Liberation” Russian style: occupied territories without water and basic services
Residents of the temporarily occupied territories are complaining about the lack of basic services. In Mariupol, in the “Michurynets” garden community, people have been living without electricity and water for over three weeks. They have contacted the local water utility service, but there has been no response.
▫️Residents are forced to cook on wood-burning stoves, store food in cellars, and survive in conditions of total neglect and isolation. Some of them are even participants in the so-called “smo” and medal recipients — yet even that does not guarantee assistance. They have been discarded by the russian system.
▫️Moreover, problems with water and electricity are widespread across all occupied regions. The situation in Donetsk is already being mocked on social media.
Previously, the Center reported that russian authorities are raising utility tariffs in the TOT, yet residents receive no services.
This situation is a vivid example of corruption, irresponsibility, and decay in the so-called “liberated” territories, where even the most basic needs of citizens are ignored. Promises to restore infrastructure are nothing but empty words — the reality tells a very different story.
